This month we recognize Team Northwest Alum Nate Mondou in his junior year at Wake Forest University. As a freshman (2014) at Wake Forest Nate made the ACC All-Academic Team. He was also the everyday second baseman hitting .279 with 7 home runs, 22 rbi and 11 doubles.
His sophomore year (2015) Nate was the only Demon Deacon to start every game on one position (2nd base). He finished the 2015 season with a .338 batting average, 10 home runs, 18 doubles and 57 rbi. After his sophomore year Nate was named:

Nate completed his high school career at Charles Wright Academy in Tacoma with a .536 batting average, 120 rbi and only six strikeouts in three years. He was a three-time First Team All-League and All-Area selection. His senior year he was named Conference Player of the Year and All State Honoree.
Nate was a member of the USA Baseball 14U National Team the won the Gold Medal in Portoviejo, Ecuador.
Team Northwest: Nate first played for Team Northwest the summer of 2011 at the USA Baseball 16U National Championships where he was invited to the 16U National Team Trials. That fall he also competed at the Perfect Game WWBA World Championships where, as a junior, he had the highest batting average and was named to the All Tournament Team. In 2012 Nate was a member of Team Northwest competing in the inaugural 17U PG World Series (3rd Place) where he led the tournament in hits and was named to the Louisville Slugger All Tournament Team.
